Your visit.
Your choice.

This notice covers mocci.dev, its feedback form, and emails to Mocci support. It does not describe data processing inside the desktop app or by the AI services you use with it.

Who is responsible

Alexandru Popescu, Romania, operates Mocci and is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact support@mocci.dev for support or privacy requests.

Visiting the website

Cloudflare hosts and protects this website. Serving requests involves processing technical information such as your IP address, browser information, requested URL, and request time. The feedback endpoint uses your IP address for rate limiting to help prevent spam. We do not include it in the feedback sent to Linear.

We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable website and protecting it against abuse for this processing.

Optional analytics

If you select “Allow analytics,” we use PostHog in the EU to measure page views, download-button clicks, and successful feedback submissions. Events include a random browser identifier, session information, browser and operating system, screen dimensions, page path, referring website domain, and short campaign tags when present. Download events can include the selected platform, architecture, and release version. Feedback events include only whether the submission was a bug or feature request.

We store the browser identifier in your browser’s local storage after consent. We also store your analytics choice and, if selected, your testing-browser preference. These preferences stay on this browser until changed or cleared. We do not send feedback text, email addresses, demo prompts, full referring URLs, or arbitrary URL query parameters in our analytics events. Session replay, automatic interaction capture, and location enrichment are disabled.

Analytics is based on your consent. You can decline and continue using the website, or withdraw consent below. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Withdrawal stops future analytics; it does not automatically delete previously collected events. Network connections to our providers still involve processing an IP address.

Feedback and support

When you submit feedback, we collect the title, description, request type, bug-related operating system and app version, and any optional email address you provide. These are stored privately in Linear. Without the required report details we cannot process the form, but you can submit without an email address.

When you email support, Google Workspace processes your address, message, and any attachments. We use this information to answer you, investigate problems, and improve Mocci, based on our legitimate interests in providing support and managing product feedback. Relevant support details may be added to Linear when needed to investigate an issue. Please share only what is needed.

How long information is kept

Our PostHog project currently uses a one-year analytics retention setting. Support emails and Linear reports do not currently have an automatic deletion schedule. We keep them while needed to handle the request, investigate related problems, or maintain useful product feedback. When reviewing closed requests, we remove personal details that are no longer needed; useful bug or feature information can remain without those details. Information may need to be kept longer to meet a legal obligation or handle a legal claim.

You can request deletion by email. Browser preferences can be cleared through your browser’s site-data controls. Provider backups and security records are subject to their own retention and deletion processes.

Service providers and international processing

We use Cloudflare for hosting and security, PostHog EU for optional analytics, Linear for feedback, and Google Workspace for support email. Access is limited to the operator and service providers as needed for these purposes. We do not sell your personal data or use this website’s analytics for advertising profiles.

EU hosting for analytics does not mean every provider operation takes place in the EU. Providers may use personnel and subprocessors in other countries. Their data-processing terms describe applicable transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required: Cloudflare, PostHog, Linear, and Google.

Download links open GitHub’s release-hosting service, which processes requests under its own privacy statement.

Your rights

Subject to applicable conditions, you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. We do not use this website’s data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Send requests to support@mocci.dev. We may need proportionate information to verify a request. Analytics identifiers are not linked to your email, so an email address alone may not let us locate your analytics events. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority, including Romania’s ANSPDCP.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page when the website’s data practices change, including before enabling session recordings or collecting additional analytics. The date above shows the latest revision.
